Top Interstate 81 Reckless Driving Lawyer: Daniel Wallace is a Scottish Swimmer who was on Great Britain’s Olympic Team in the 2016 Summer Olympics.  In the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Wallace won the 400 meter individual medley.  He was on the team that won gold in the 2015 FINA Aquatics Championship’s 4 x 200 meters freestyle relay team.  Wallace got a silver in the 2016 Summer Olympics for that relay race.  Wallace hails from Edinburgh, Scotland and was trained by Laurel Bailey at the Warrender Baths Club.  Wallace got an athletic scholarship to swim for the University of Florida.  Wallace was on the University’s NCAA National Championship 4 x 200 yard freestyle relay in 2013.  Wallace was second in the NCAA 500 yard freestyle in both 2014 and 2015.  Wallace was All-American twelve times.

Top Interstate 81 Reckless Driving Lawyer:  Wallace had been in the news after the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for yelling, “For Freedom” after winning the relay.  Wallace backed away from supporting the Scottish Independence Referendum by claiming that he was merely stating a line from the movie Braveheart.  Wallace recently entered a guilty plea to DUI.  In addition to any legal penalties, Wallace was suspended from all national swimming programs until September 12, 2017.  Apparently a DUI conviction breaks the athlete code of conduct.  This suspension will keep Wallace from attending July’s World Championship in Budapest.  Wallace released a statement to the press saying,

“It is with much regret that I was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.  Not only have I let myself, my family and team-mates down, I have put others at risk and I am profoundly sorry for my actions. I recognise that I am in a position of influence and this type of behaviour is not acceptable in any way, shape or form….”

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett Arrested For Marijuana Possession

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett Arrested For Marijuana Possession: Jordan Scarlett is a very talented true freshman running back who plays for the Florida Gators Football team.  Scarlett had been having a great first year with the Gators and was slotted to play in the Citrus BowlUnfortunately, Scarlett was charged with marijuana possession on December 19, 2015 and under league rules will be suspended from playing in the Citrus Bowl.  Apparently he was charged with the possession offense in his dorm room at the Keys Residential Complex. Florida will be playing Michigan in that post season game. Florida will also be missing starting right tackle Mason Halter and backup linebacker Anthony Harrell.  Scarlett, although only a freshman, is the third leading Gator with over 180 yard rushing on a 5.3 yard gain per carry average.  Commentators had been predicting a significant role for Scarlett due to his speed and explosive running power versus the tough Michigan defense.  Florida will still have Kevin Taylor and Jordan Cronkrite to pursue the Gator running game.

Florida RB Jordan Scarlett Arrested For Marijuana Possession: Scarlett has a January 6, 2016 court date in Alachua County Court.  Scarlett was highly recruited out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Once at Florida Scarlett has had a less than perfect freshman year due to poor practice habits.  Coach McElwain ended up benching him.

The legal status of marijuana is very confusing to many people.  It no longer makes sense that marijuana is legal in some states and not legal in others.  Many students do not understand that their college or university is under a federal mandate to stringently police the use of marijuana by students in college housing.  It appears that Scarlett fell to that increased scrutiny.  Scarlett also probably did not understand that he had no duty to help law enforcement build a case against him.  He did not understand that he did not have to open the door to his room unless the Officer had a search warrant.  Scarlett also probably did not realize that he was entitled to ask for a lawyer and to make no other statements.
